In the midst of the Illinois state budget crisis, local success story Chance the Rapper recently donated $1 million dollars to Chicago Public Schools.  He encouraged other local businesses and organizations to do the same.

Peter Rios, owner of Alliance Bakery, was inspired to do his part.  "I'm a product of Chicago public schools. We're making Chance hat cookies," Rios said.

Alliance Bakery is donating $1 dollar from the sale of each cookie to Chance's non-profit organization, Social Works Chicago. The bakery will match the donations up to $5,000, aiming for a total of $10,000 in donations for CPS schools.
