Why do people do the things they do? Everyone is looking for a quick way to the top and no one is willing to put in any of the work. If you have to resort to stealing musical instruments (or anything for that matter) for a quick buck, it's probably time to reevaluate your life and move it in a different direction.
If I've lost you because you think "it's just a guitar, who cares?" Then I ask you this: Would this story hit you differently if the headline were about Chris' puppy? If Chris tweeted that someone has stolen his puppy without warning or remorse, would you care more? Good. Think of this guitar as a living breathing thing that someone loves very much. Because in a way, it is.
A guitar to a songwriter is like a dog or a pet to most people, a best friend even. You love it, you cherish it, you clean it, you make memories together with it, it becomes a part of who you are. And now someone has gone and stolen it away from Chris Janson. A custom Fender guitar with a BEAUTIFUL inlay on the fretboard. If you've seen Chris at a show, you've seen him play this guitar. It's beautiful and now it's gone.
To the person/people that did this, know that you are absolute scum and trash and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. However, like Chris says, just bring the damn guitar back...and feel very sorry and ashamed for your stupid actions...
I know it won't replace the void completely because each guitar is unique but, Fender, if you could send another one Chris' way, that would be awesome. Thank you in advance. @Traceahamilton
