Ariana Grande Gets Tattoo In Foreign Language, Doesn't Translate Very Well

Whoopsies. They say always be wary of getting a foreign language tattooed on your body. Google Translate apparently doesn't work as well as it's supposed to. Pop star Ariana Grande intended to get a tattoo commemorating her new single "7 Rings" on her hand. However, when she posted the picture, her followers VERY quickly pointed out that the translation to her tattoo actually means "small Japanese BBQ grill" or something to that effect. This is a note to anyone thinking about getting a tattoo in another language, especially a language that is very heavy on symbols as letters and words, make sure you are FLUENT in the subject or you'll be made fun of on the internet for a long long time.

In a since-deleted response, Grande explained the tattoo mishap was due to pain.

"Indeed, I left out 'つの指' which should have gone in between. It hurt like (expletive) n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao," she tweeted. "But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time."
