SOURCE - Plans are in the works to build a breathtaking (or stomach-turning, depending on your tolerance for heights) 360-degree infinity pool atop a skyscraper in London.
Designers say the 55-story building named Infinity London would be the only building in the world to incorporate a 360-degree infinity pool.
The 600,000 liter pool will be made of acrylic and have transparent sides and floors so people inside the building can see the swimmers above them.
The pool renderings have generated a lot of online chatter and left many wondering, how do you get in? The answer is fit for an underwater sea queen: There will be a rotating spiral staircase that rises up through the water.
Construction could begin as early as 2020.
Infinity pools are probably one of the cooler things you can snap an Instagram picture of in today's day and age. They just look so awesome. What else do the tech savvy Instagram users love? Rooftops! Turns out a few geniuses have finally married both these ideas and we're about to see the Gram FLOODED with these pictures once this thing gets built. I'm all about it. A view of London while swimming in a pool sounds pretty cool, until you remember that London has rain like 80% of the year and is very cloudy and cool on the ground level. Can't imagine it's any warmer 55 stories above the city. But what do I know? I don't live there!
Also, do I really want to be looking up at the ceiling and seeing the undercarriage of some guy or girl while they're taking a lap?
Not ideal... Or, worse, your ceiling is just people's feet everywhere because you know that pool is going to be PACKED when it opens...having said all this, I'll be opening up my Venmo to any and all donations to get me there to check this thing out once it's built. Thank you in advance for the first class airline ticket. I will give you a shoutout in the vlog. ;) - @Traceahamilton
