This was a song that I had on my playlist all weekend long. If you read any of my previous blogs, you know I'm in Jon Langston's corner. He is quite possibly the only artist I can think of that could make this one even better. Plus that Ford F250 he pulls up in? So dope.
You know what I love about Muscadine Bloodline? There's just something about the songs they write and how they film their music videos that's so DIY and inspiring. They've only been around since 2016 but every song has that "Ohhh this is going to sound so good live" feel to it, every video has that "Hey man, come help us film something real quick" vibe, and I f*cking love that. Gone are the days of super overproduced music videos (though some are fun to watch). Nowadays, if you or someone you know has a nice camera and decent editing skills, you can make these things all on your own and make them look GOOD. Which is exactly what these boys do. I think it's the simplicity that I love so much. They are known for their high energy live shows so next time they roll through Chicago (or anywhere close, really) be sure you don't miss them.
