Netflix's New Film 'The King' Looks Incredible!

Cinema is in a weird new space right now. Movie theaters aren't doing as well as they used to, prices are soaring, people are getting lazy and ultimately if your movie wasn't a superhero film or had The Rock in it, it was a flop. Today, however, we're starting to see a change. Limited theater releases with a then immediate shift to a streaming platform. Amazon has done it, Netflix announced it will be doing that with the new DeNiro, Pesci, Pacino film in November, and here we have what's sure to be a trailblazer for why this system works. Netflix is pumping out blockbuster quality films but putting them straight to their platform, missing out on that extra movie theater bump. With 'The King' however, they will be trying things differently and honestly I might see this one in both the theaters and stream it when it goes to the platform because this movie looks GOOD. You have one of the greatest young new actors of a generation, apart from those Stranger Things kids, in the leading role, you have Joel Egerton who, in my opinion, is an EXTREMELY underrated actor, you have the return of RPatts, AND Ben Mendelsohn (of Captain Marvel, Bloodline, Star Wars, you'll know who he is) all in one film?! This might mess around and score an Oscar nom. Who knows. Trailer looks outstanding and I'm very excited to see this one in the fall.
