According to a recent report there are over 4000 coyotes in Cook County.
We live in Kane County and see them on a regular basis. last week we had to scare one away when it was eyeing Penelope, our potbelly pig. She was safe in a coyote proof pen.
Wildlife officials warn all of us not to leave any food outside. That means dog food, cat food or garbage that they can access.
