Interview with Americans Quarantined on Cruise Ship

Two American newlyweds from New York were enjoying the honeymoon trip of a lifetime when suddenly they found themselves stuck in the middle of the global health crisis.

Milena and Gaetano Cerullo were on the last day of their 30-day honeymoon cruise around Asia when the ship was quarantined. They are two of 428 Americans aboard the Diamond Princess ship. In total, there are 135 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the quarantined ship, including 11 Americans. The dangerous respiratory virus has killed more than 900 people globally. The Diamond Princess is under a 14-day quarantine, and passengers are set to be released on February 19. However, that could change as the number of coronavirus cases grows. "They need to remain in quarantine for 14 days from last contact with a confirmed case," the World Health Organization announced in a statement over the weekend.

The wedding was fabulous, but the honeymoon was certainly not. It's a far cry from the luxury cruise they were enjoying! But at least there's booze and so far they're not sick! They're really testing out those vows... In sickness, health, global crisis, and cabin fever!
