Another Indiana Beach Closed Due to Overcrowding

If you haven't invest in an inflatable pool, this is definitely the summer to do it! More and more beaches are closing due to overcrowding amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

A popular Whiting, Indiana beach is closing for a couple of weeks because due to overcrowding concerns. Reporters say Whihala beach was at capacity every day, making social distancing impossible. And since you're not likely to wear a mask on a beach, officials say the situation wasn't safe. Whiting Mayor Joe Stahura told ABC Chicago there has been an "alarming disregard" of all COVID-19 protocol.

The beach is closed indefinitely for the time being, but may reopen later this summer to residents only.
