In the wake of the police shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, officials in Chicago are preparing for large-scale protests along Michigan Avenue this weekend.
A crowd is expected at a rally slated for this weekend along the Magnificent Mile. Chicago Police and those with businesses in the area are hoping it ends peacefully.
The protest is set to take place on Saturday, and CPD says they're already preparing to control crowds and hopefully keep away outside agitators and looters who disrupted peaceful protests earlier this summer.
If you plan to be downtown this weekend, expect detours, road closures, and heavy traffic.
