COVID-19 Cases Are Exploding at University of Alabama

Students and staff at the University of Alabama's Tuscaloosa campus are reeling. The school is just a couple of weeks into their fall semester and there's already and explosive outbreak of COVID-19 taking over the campus. More than 1,200 students have tested positive for the coronavirus already.

The other two campuses that make up the University of Alabama System have far fewer COVID-19-positive students. The skyrocketing number of cases is worrisome to those enrolled, some of whom complain the school isn't doing enough to protect them. The university has consolidated student housing to make room for quarantining students and banned student events.
