An Open Letter To Moms Feeling Pressure To "Snap Back"

This ones for all the moms who are feeling pressured to “snap back” 👇🏼

This post isn’t for attention.. or pity.. it’s for those who see highlight reels on Instagram and think everyone goes right back to their pre-pregnancy body. Some do.. some don’t!

I was hesitant to post this picture.. but I’ve always been real with y’all so why stop now? I gained almost 60 lbs during my pregnancy.. have lost close to 30 in the last 2 months.. I don’t fit into any of my clothes.. my skin sags.. I have stretch marks.. and no, I don’t “love” this new body.. but, I wouldn’t trade it for what I created.

Everyone’s postpartum journey is different.. but what we all have in common is the miraculous gift of holding and growing a baby.. What a blessing!!

So whatever your postpartum body looks like.. stretch marks.. saggy skin.. scars.. extra weight.. bigger feet.. even hair loss.. know that you’re beautiful. You’re a super hero.. you created a HUMAN and are not alone! Give yourself some grace.. because mama.. YOU 👏🏼DID👏🏼THAT👏🏼
