BIG Veterans Parade for ONE American Hero

EVERY DAY is about honoring and celebrating the brave men and women that have served our country. Today it's just extra special...

A lot of our veterans are unable to attend some of the parades held in their honor so we thought it best to find one AMAZING hero to honor with a VETERANS DAY PARADE they didn't have to share.

The BIG955Family found 92-year-old Marine Veteran Woody Hughes, Private First Class in the 5th Amphibious Corp. Signal Battalion (working in the communications department for the Marine Corps.)

He fought in WW2 in the battles of Tinian, Saipan, Guam, and Iwo Jima. Iwo is the most famous battle because of the iconic photograph of the flag raising. Woody saw the flag raised on Mt. Surubachi.  He also worked in communication with the Navajo code talkers and it was our HONOR to celebrate his service today.

Thank you for your service Woody.
