Country music shut out of all-genre categories

Nominations for the 60th annual Grammy Awards have been announced! But for the first time in more than a decade, country music has been shut out of the biggest all-genre categories.

Jay-Z leads  this year’s nominees list with 8 nominations, followed close behind by  Kendrick Lamar (7), Bruno Mars (6) and Childish Gambino (5).

In the country categories, Chris Stapleton leads with three nominations.

The 60th annual Grammy Awards take place Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
