Pączki Day is approaching and Chicagoans can soon celebrate with a pączki inspired beer! Pączki are jelly filled pastries from the Polish cuisine.
Marz Community Brewing, the brewery from the owners of Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar, brewed a pączki stout (7.1% ABV double milk stout with lactose and cocoa nibs) which will be sold at bars and liquor stores around the Chicago area.
Although in Poland, Pączki Day is celebrated on Tłusty czwartek (Fat Thursday) ... is it more commonly celebrated on Fat Tuesday in America, which falls on February 13 this year.
No Swedish Bakery for paczki day, but at least there's paczki beer https://t.co/NX0Hw2bOiA— Eater Chicago (@eaterchicago) February 7, 2018
