John Hancock building is losing its iconic name

Chicago's John Hancock Center is losing its iconic name. The 100-story skyscraper will now be known by its address, 875 N.  Michigan Avenue. The Chicago Tribune reports that the owners are seeking a new naming-rights deal, since owners of the building’s namesake asked that its name and logos be removed.

The Sears Tower was renamed the Willis Tower in 2009.
