#WhatsAwesome are the Chicago Cubs honoring victims of the Florida high school shooting. Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is a 2007 graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where 17 students lost their lives in a mass shooting. Both the Cubs and Marlins wore patches with the initials “MSD” and 17 stars to honor the number of lives lost.
Along with their BP shirts, #Cubs and #Marlins will wear patches with maroon ribbons and the initials “MSD” with 17 stars representing the number of lives lost in the shooting for opening series. pic.twitter.com/YGK6LBNqHL— Lauren Magiera (@LaurenMagiera) March 29, 2018
