Family Owes $132,000 After Child Damaged Public Statue

These Kansas parents may be on the hook for a massive bill, after taking their eyes off their child.

Surveillance video from the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center in Overland Park shows two young boys running wild around the center where they were attending a family wedding. In the video, you can clearly see one of them grabbing a statue on a stand, causing it to fall and break.

Turns out, that piece of art is worth $132,000 and the community center's insurance company says the parents are at fault.

The parents say the incident was an accident, and are fighting back against the charge.
