Wheelchairs Against Guns is a non-profit organization on a mission... To save kids from a horrible fate.
Kareem Nelson started the New York-based organization to save at-risk youth from making the same mistakes he made in his youth that led to drugs, gun violence, gangs, and jail time.
Kareem and Luis Lopez both suffered gun violence that left them paralyzed, and they need the help of wheelchairs to get around. Their stories are heartbreaking, and relatable for many at-risk teens. They sold drugs to help earn money for their families, and got caught up in a dangerous world.
