If you've walked the Mag Mile this week, you probably noticed at least a few new art installations along the way! Dozens of uniquely painted and decorated lighthouses now line Michigan Ave.
The lighthouses are sponsored by The Chicago Lighthouse, a nonprofit that provides job training and support for people who are blind, visually impaired, or differently-abled.
The exhibit is on display until August 11, and aims to shine a light on celebrating access and inclusion for all.
There are a total of 51 lighthouses-- walk the Mag Mile this summer and get a photo with each unique piece of art!
#MagMileLighthouses launch today! During the creation of our lighthouse, artist Erika Vazzana invited participants to paint alongside her blindfolded for a glimpse of what it’s like to be visually impaired.
