If a service dog ever approached you, without their owner, what would you do?
Turns out, they're looking for help!
As a dog person myself, if any dog approaches me he/she will immediately have 200% of my attention! But not everyone is the same way with dogs. Some people are scared of them, or like the woman in the story below, just plain annoyed by them. However, if you're ever approached by a service dog and you don't see their owner, it means their owner is in distress and the dog is looking for someone who can help!
Check out this story below, shared by Melissa Hope, a woman with epilepsy, about her service dog:
I honestly didn't know that I was supposed to follow a service dog in a vest if it approached me by itself.— Jim Campbell (@JustJimWillDo) June 18, 2018
I do now.
So do you.
The world is a slightly better place. Well done us. https://t.co/uzVCs4zQNe
