1988 Cold Case Finally Solved, Thanks to Genealogy Database

April Tinsley was just 8-years-old when she went missing from her small town in Indiana, back in 1988. Three days after she was reported missing, her body was found in a ditch. She had been brutally attacked-- raped and strangled.

The case went unsolved for three decades, until this week when police finally made an arrest in connection with the murder. Police arrested 59-year-old John Miller, thanks to DNA evidence that was sent to a public genealogist database.
