Major Recall from Kraft Heinz for Botulism

I LOVE this dip, so I'll definitely be checking my pantry! Kraft Heinz voluntarily recalled about 7,000 cases of Taco Bell's Salsa Con Queso Mild Cheese Dip due to the potential for a severe type of food poisoning.

The dip has been recalled due to the potential for the growth of a bacteria called Clostridiumbotulinum (C. botulinum), officials said. The bacterium can cause botulism, which can be fatal.

Symptoms include:

  • weakness
  • dizziness
  • double vision
  • trouble with speaking or swallowing
  • difficulty breathing
  • weakness of other muscles
  • abdominal distension
  • constipation
