A 79-year-old man who suffers from Parkinson's is covering after he was brutally attacked while jogging on the Lake Front Trail in Lincoln Park. Michael Masterson was randomly attacked by a man he's never met. According to police, the man choked, scratched, bit and punched Masterson on the jogging trail near Diversey Avenue.
“I’m just in a state of shock. What are you supposed to do in that situation?” Masterson said in an interview with the Chicago Tribune. “Who expects to be attacked at 5 o’clock in the morning? And this guy said he wanted to kill me!”
Police arrested 21-year-old Rokas Ablacinskas and charged him with aggravated battery and attempted murder.
