This story makes me cringe so hard! These poor folks!
Ben Belnap and his wife had saved for months to afford season tickets for the University of Utah's football team. Last week, they finally hit their goal of $1,060 and got the cash out from the bank.
But when the envelope of money went missing, Ben and his wife feared the worst... And it came true. Their toddler, Leo, often helps mom and dad shred junk mail. And being a "helpful" toddler, he shredded the envelope of cash!
But all is not lost! After the story went viral, the kind folks over at Dr. Pepper heard about it and decided to reimburse the Belnap family for their toddler's mishap.
So me and my wife had been saving up to pay for our @Utah_Football tickets in cash. We pulled our money out yesterday to pay my mom for the season... Well we couldn’t find the envelope until my wife checked the shredder. Yup. 2 year old shredded $1,060. pic.twitter.com/93R9BWAVDE— BB (@Benbelnap) October 2, 2018
