Grandmother Booted from Flight for Asking Flight Attendant to Toss Trash

To me, this story sounds like a big miscommunication that got out of hand... FAST.

Ellen Flemming was traveling on an Air Canada flight with her husband and two grandchildren. After discovering some wet garbage in the pocket of the seat in front of her, Ellen asked a flight attendant if he could throw it away. This is where, according to her, things spiraled out of control very quickly. Ellen says the attendant refused to toss the trash, and one thing led to another... Suddenly, the pilot announced the plane would be turning around and heading back to Toronto, where it had departed from. When the plane landed, police officers were waiting to escort Ellen off the plane.

Fellow passengers witnessed the situation and back Ellen's version of the story.
