Local Company Accused of Knowingly Selling Bad Engines to School Buses

Local truck and bus manufacturer, Navistar, has been accused of knowingly selling faulty engines.

Mike Wagner supplies school buses for hundreds of children throughout the Chicago suburbs. He was horrified when his buses repeatedly broke down, sometimes while carrying children in the dead of winter. He says the buses were supplied with faulty emissions systems from the Lisle-based Navistar.

Wagner is now suing Navistar, and he's not the only business owner to experience such problems.

Similar allegations are coming from a truck company, Williams National Lease. They claim they lost millions of dollars from repeated breakdowns, caused by faulty Navistar engines.
