Head's up for parents on Chicago's northwest side... But really, head's up for ALL parents. This scary incident is a good reminder to parents everywhere to make sure your children know what to do if a stranger ever approaches them, or tries to lure them into a car.
Police said the man was driving a small gray SUV Thursday when he tried to lure the boy from Mozart Elementary School in Logan Square. The boy was playing on the elementary school's playground. The man yelled from his car to the child, offering him candy. When the child declined, the man attempted to take a picture of him. The boy covered his face and ran into the school.
