Spooky Thrills in Joliet: Paranormal and Ghost Tours of the Joliet Prison

For some of us, Halloween is all about the thrills and chills. I can't tell you how many ads I see every day for gory haunted houses full of high-intensity scares. But a lot of people are less into the jump-out-with-a-chainsaw type of scare and more into the "Could this be real?!" type of Halloween thrill! Ghosts and the paranormal make for some spooky fun without the heart attack, and this year there's something awesome going down in Joliet! For the first time ever, you'll be able to take ghost-themed tours of the Old Joliet Prison!

The 160 year-old prison has been abandoned since 2002 and is super creepy... Check out the video below for more details... Tours are guided by paranormal investigators from groups like Shadow Hunters, Midnight Paranormal Society, and Chicago Ghost Hunters.

Paranormal tours are 90 minutes, are limited to 25 people and two tours are offered Monday through Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and one on Sunday at 5 p.m. Ghost tours are three hours and cost $120 a ticket, also are offered Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
