World Series Trophy Damaged by Thrown Beer Can

A wild throw during the Red Sox's World Series celebratory parade is causing outrage in the sports world. A fan threw a full can of deer at the trophy, damaging it during the victory parade through downtown Boston.

It's a Boston tradition to throw beer at victory parades but onlookers could only watch in horror as the full can was thrown from the crowd and struck the trophy. It broke some of the flags atop the trophy. A 19-year-old fan was taken into custody after the incident.

Could this be the start of another Red Sox curse? We'll see next year...
