6-Foot Snow Drifts Trap Researchers

Oh the weather outside is frightful for these researchers in Poland! Seriously!

Three researchers in Poland were literally snowed in this week. Check out these massive six-foot snowdrifts that just about blocked the entire door of their meteorological research station. The weathermen had to dig themselves out by hand.

The winter wonderland happened in Poland's Tatra Mountains, on the border with Slovakia. Elsewhere in the eastern European nation, winds with speeds exceeding 50 miles per hour battered the Baltic coast.

As for Chicago, there's a slight chance we may see some flurries this week... But no blizzards on the horizon!
