Aaron Kobb has been a patient at Lurie Children's Hospital many times. Aaron has a rare, metabolic genetic disorder with only 25 reported cases in the world. He requires 24-hour care. During his hospital stays his health struggles sometimes surface at night, leaving his mom struggling to stay awake but too worried to go far enough to get a needed cup of caffeine.
His family was inspired to raise money to create a coffee breakroom on the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU for short) floor. Their goal is now to set up a coffee corner in every breakroom on every floor of the hospital.
