Beware Icy, Dangerous Conditions Around Chicagoland

We're in for a cold next couple of weeks, with temperatures dropping to the single digits and even a couple of days with highs below zero!

Since we've seen a good amount of snow fall recently, many sidewalks around the city are still covered in snow and slush, which will soon turn into dangerous, ice-covered paths.

City ordinances clearly state property owners have until 10 a.m. to clear sidewalks from an overnight storm and 10 p.m. during a daytime snowfall or they face fines ranging from $50 to $500. Unfortunately, snow-covered sidewalks are all over the city, posing risks to pedestrians.

If you see an untreated sidewalk, place a call to 311.
