120 People Trapped for Days After Blizzard Slams Ski Resort

People all around the country have seen some really intense winter weather so far this year! 2019 is definitely looking like one for the record-books.

Just recently a massive blizzard hit northern California, dumping over 8 feet of snow and trapping 120 people at a ski resort for days.

Rescuers had to clear trees and plow 8 miles of road to reach the Sequoia Lodge before the stranded people could be rescued. Luckily, the lodge was equipped with enough food and water for the five days the guests were trapped inside. Everyone was evacuated in a convoy and brought to safety, and nobody was hurt.

But it's a good reminder to always be checking the forecast, and ALWAYS be prepared for the worst!
