Pig Parenting: Calming Effects Of A Belly Rub

Penelope just needed a belly rub. My brother calls me the pig whisperer but if you've spent time with pigs, you know the secret. All the screaming she did in the previous blog was because she was being carried and for whatever reason, she HATES being lifted. In a few months she will be too big to carry so it's not an issue but I wonder what happened to her that instilled this immense fear. If someone dumped her on a cold winter day they probably didn't show her kindness when she lived with them. So, next time you encounter a pig...gently rub their belly and they'll drop down and beg for more!
