I understand that some kids abuse their bathroom privileges at school. Kids ask to go when they don't need to, and sometimes they mess around instead of doing their business then heading straight back to class.
HOWEVER... I definitely don't think the solution is to not let kids go to the bathroom at all, and then to do THIS! Who in their right mind would think it was acceptable to tell a little boy to expose himself to the class and urinate in a trash can, in front of all of his classmates?!
That's exactly what this mom says happened to her little boy at school one day.
Sonia Mongol is demanding answers after she said her 8-year-old son was denied permission to use the bathroom by his teacher and instead told to urinate in a trash can in front of his classmates at Manhattan Place Elementary School in Los Angeles. Mongol said the incident happened in November, adding that her son was also forced to wear a black trash bag over his urine-soaked clothing.
The district said in a statement it is conducting an administrative investigation in collaboration with law enforcement. I certainly hope they get to the bottom of this and get some answers.
