Jayme Closs' Kidnapper Pleaded Guilty, Left Court With a Smirk

Jake Patterson, the Wisconsin man who kidnapped 13-year-old Jayme Closs, held her hostage for 88 days, and murdered her parents, pleaded guilty to the charges against him Wednesday,

In a letter released earlier this month, Patterson, 21, told a KARE-TV reporter about his plans to plead guilty. “I knew when I was caught (which I thought would happen a lot sooner) I wouldn’t fight anything,” Patterson wrote.

As he left the courtroom today, Patterson reportedly had a smirk on his face. His final words before leaving were "Bye Jayme."

With this sick predator behind bars,I hope Jayme can begin the difficult process of healing. She deserves to live a full and wonderful life, and I know she has the strength to overcome this tragedy. She had the strength to escape from this monster, and she will continue to be #JaymeStrong!
