Last month, 16-year-old Chase Lalonde suffered a horrific injury on the lacrosse field. Lalonde was hit, hard enough that it left him paralyzed from the chest down. But he had incredible doctors, nurses, family and friends supporting him throughout his recovery. After surgery and much physical therapy, a huge crowd gathered at the hospital and cheered when he rose from his wheelchair and walked down a hospital hallway!
According to Lalonde and his family, it wasn't just the physical therapist that helped him accomplish what many thought was impossible. It was the constant encourage and support from the staff at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital that helped him make this miraculous recovery.
