Imagine waking up, getting ready for working, thinking it's another normal day... Then heading outside and discovering your car has been smashed flat as a pancake by a GIANT slab of concrete!
This nightmare is a reality for some in Rogers Park this week. Two parked cars were damaged by large chunks of concrete that fell Thursday morning from a viaduct holding up a set of Red Line tracks in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
A spokesperson from the CTA says this was a result of aging tracks. However they also said the tracks are still safe enough to keep the trains going. Inspectors were on the scene all day.
