Fourth Grader Opens Up to His Classmates About His Autism

Since teacher Lisa Moe was having trouble speaking, she decided to give her voice a rest and asked fourth grader Rumari Zalez to say a few words to the class. Her students had been working on a project for Autism Awareness Month, but what he said took everyone by surprise. "For a very long time, you guys had not known I had autism," he told his classmates. Moe said his admission almost made her cry. Unbeknownst to Rumari or anyone else there, Moe started recording his speech. And as you can see from the video, the class' reaction was more than anyone bargained for.
