Children With the Same Birth Defect Turned Out to be Soulmates

These newlyweds have an incredible love story to share with their grandchildren one day-- their story has been 20 years in the making!

Their story began under less than happy circumstances. Emily and Cameron Kohlman met as children, who both suffered from the same birth defect. They were born with a condition called Bladder Exstrophy. Emily and her mother traveled from Wisconsin, and Cameron traveled from Ohio with his mother, to Baltimore for surgery to correct the problem. They were both miles away from their hometowns, getting surgery for the same condition, at Johns Hopkins. Doctors thought the 4-year-olds should heal together after both going through bladder neck reconstruction.

They healed together, and their bond will last a lifetime!
