Navy Hero Murdered While Getting Lunch Money for His Kids

A new true crime TV show is giving viewers an inside look at the most haunting real-life cases solved by police officers around the country.

One of those cases is the story of Cory Voss, an American hero who was shot to death while withdrawing lunch money for his kids from an ATM. Who killed the young naval officer? It turned out to be a murder-for-hire case, plotted by Voss' wife, Catherine. Catherine sent a hitman to kill him in what prosecutors said was supposed to look like a botched robbery.

The disturbing case has been featured on "NCIS: The Cases They Can’t Forget." The true crime show is a spinoff of the hit drama NCIS.
