Saybie is believed to be the world's smallest surviving baby. She was born at just 23 weeks and three days, weighing just over half a pound. While her family is rejoicing now, Saybie's mother said getting to this point wasn't easy. Since babies are typically born at 40 weeks, the staff at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital in San Diego wasn't optimistic the child would live.
