What is happening at this vacation resort in the Dominican Republic?!
Three Americans have died at the resort in recent weeks, from mysterious and disturbing illnesses.
First, a doctor from Pennsylvania, Miranda Schaup-Werner, 41, and her husband, Dan Werner, checked in to the Bahia Principe Hotel in La Romana on May 25 to celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary. Miranda was exploring their room, taking photos and getting ready to enjoy the trip of a lifetime. According to her husband she opened the mini bar and took a sip from one of the drinks. She screamed out in pain, and by the end of the day, the Allentown woman was dead.
Just days later the bodies of a Maryland couple were found in their room at the same resort, devastating their loved ones back home.
All three reportedly died of the same causes: respiratory failure and pulmonary edema. Sounds to me like they were all poisoned! I hope police get to the bottom of this ASAP!
