This Teenager Wants You to See Beyond His Skin Disorder

A teen with a severe skin disorder is giving people a glimpse into his life through social media. Marcos Burrola-Jaquez, 18, from Wichita, Kansas, is known in his community as "Marky the Rock" for how strong he had been in the face of challenges. He has recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, also called butterfly skin because those with the condition have skin as thin as a butterfly's wings. It leaves Marky in excruciating pain. His body is covered in blisters and burns, and he's unable to walk. The disease has horrible and life-threatening side effects. Despite all of this, Marky is full of positivity!
