What You Need To Know About The Illinois Gas & Cigarette Tax Increase

Illinois gas and cigarette taxes just went up.

We've been talking about this for weeks, this new Rebuild Illinois plan to help with road and bridge improvements

But, it's coming with a DOUBLE of state gas tax. It was at 19 cents, now up to a whopping 38 cents.

It's being estimated that drivers will be spending around an extra $100 per year... yay.

Now, lets talk cigarettes... the legal age to buy tobacco is now 21 in the state of Illinois.... for those who need it to be broken down, that means cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco and e-cigarettes.

The tax for cigarettes is also up from $1.98 to $2.98.
