This Boy's Disease is So Rare, Doctors Named It After Him

An Alabama boy is winning his fight with a disease so rare that it didn't even have a name!

Grayson Smith was born in 2013 with a variety of medical conditions. One-third of his skull was missing, he had a hole in his heart, deformities in his face, as well as on his spinal cord. Doctors were baffled by the ailments and struggled to diagnose him. His family says they were told he wouldn't live longer than a month.

Grayson is now 6-years-old and beating the odds at every turn! He's been through 36 surgeries but he continues to thrive!
