Strangers Save Life of Man Who Collapsed at Chicago Bears 5K

This story is just... incredible. It's hard to put it into words!

Kevin DeBolt was running the Chicago Bears 5k with more than 4,000 other people. When the 46-year-old hit the 2 mile mark, he suddenly collapsed. According to bystanders, DeBolt wasn't breathing. The situation was terrifying for those around him, who instantly sprung into action to save his life by performing CPR and using a defibrillator.

DeBolt was touched by their actions. He's had the worst year of his life, after his wife, Carrie, tragically passed away in April. Carrie had wanted to run the race with him, so he ran it as a memorial to her. DeBolt says the situation reminded him that there are good people out there, and that his wife Carrie is watching over him.
