Multiple Injuries from Ride Accidents at Suburban Carnivals

We all love a good summer carnival! But just how safe are those traveling rides that get put up and taken down in just a couple of days?

This summer at Plainfield Fest, located in the parking lot of Plainfield Central High School, a woman fell off of a small roller coaster. Officials say a track on the ride, called The Iron Dragon, broke and a car fell off the track.

At the same time, a 9-year-old boy was injured at a carnival in Midlothian from falling debris after a ride broke. The carnival is at St. Christopher's Church, and is still up and running.
