This story is so tragic, and my heart breaks for both families involved. The story made headlines last year when a 10-year-old girl was accused of murdering an infant at an in-home day care in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. According to police, the little girl dropped the 6-month-old boy. He hit his head and began crying, at which point the little girl started panicking and stomped on the baby to quiet him. She has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death. The girl was living in the home at the time, with a foster family.
